Cognac Leather

Going back to basics has never been bigger in the design scene. Celebrating woods with their inherent character and showcasing natural flaws; unstained concrete and it’s usual shade of moody grey; and now leather! Instead of black dyes and light bleaching techniques, we are seeing the return of cognac goods. A rich and caramel hue, it gives warmth and a hint of nostalgia to a space.

Returning to natural cognac tones feels retro- in a good way! It conjures up the feeling that it may have been used in a New York cigar shop, with its own story and life.

I love the high ceilings and the color pallet (dark blue, black & white, camel, and grey).

Placed in a modern and clean space cognac leather feels right at home! We love the bold but neutral patterns against the warmth of the leather and the black feature walls and curtains adds depth and drama.

Great vintage cognac leather sofa displayed in front of an exposed brick wall. Works well!

This stunning flat in London is the epitome of industrial chic. Bare concrete floors, exposed brick, and the rich caramel leather all combine into an edgy but comfortable space.

Invest in a quality piece and you won’t regret it!
