Supporting local artists not only helps to enable thousands of home grown artists keep creating their works of art- it is defintiely unique! Very few people will have that exact sculpture or painting, and it can be a great conversation starter. We are featuring some local Canadian art, which celebrates the rich diversity in our landscapes. Here in Edmonton, Vivid Prints is the place to find such gems as these:
A great way to incorporate bold art is to pull a couple of the main colours out and use them on other accessories. Like this painting of a maple tree, the strong magenta is tied in with the throw pillow, and the deep blue in the water is pulled together with the navy shag rug. Complete the look with neutral furniture and medium toned hardwood and it is the perfect room!
