Bring some warmth into your home with gold metal tones! The richness of gold is making a huge splash this season, so forget the 90’s gold trim and embrace the elegant infusions we are seeing today. Using old in fixtures will be a bold and striking use of the renewed metal hue, like this faucet below – and check out that tile on a previous post here. Mixing with warm honey tones, creamy beige’s and deep chocolate browns will work well.
A chandelier or lamp is a great place to use a bold gold metallic, and mixes well into both contemporary and traditional home designs. Check out these two homes with totally different styles- one family friendly, air and open, the other moody and dramatic- and just a bit sexy! Both use hits of gold accents and in both cases- look fantastic!
Wallpaper with a champagne or gold hue will pick up the lighting in the room and play with shadows, which make a gorgeous entry way or accent wall. Try adding metal wall decor for texture and shadow play, and using with warm brown accents adds an inviting feeling to a space.
Check out vintage shops for great and affordable finds like antique chandeliers and mirrors! Don’t be afraid to mix and match metal tones, be bold and play with this fantastic hue.
